Mr. Blonder met his wife, Lois, a Newark native and professional artist, on a blind date. The couple were married for 46 years until her death in 1999. ---Mr. Blonder was buried August 31,2008 at Riverside Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
Lois Blonder, a professional artist of 55 years, former docent at Newark Museum, and alumnus of Monmouth University. It is easy to understand how Isaac (Ike) Blonder fell "head ove heels" for Lois.She was his confident an artist, Lois broadened his world with art, theater, travel, and stimulating conversation.
Tycoon recognized the importance of Lois Blonder as an Artist several years ago with the purchase of one of her most important works of Sculpture. It is in fact called "Lois" and is on display at Tycoon Galleries, a "Pro Choice" work by an artist who put emotion into her Art, under plexi-glass it cries out, it's my body, hands off, my choice as a Big American Gal, wife, mother but above all independent.
